The great pumpkin (patch)

It's officially October, which means it's full-on fall, which means it's time to visit some pumpkins! Uncle Nono came too.

It was also a great opportunity to put on my shoes and do some adventurous outdoor walking for the first time. I stared off with two-handed support from Mom and Dad.

Then I made the move to single hand.

And finally, freedom! Watch out pumpkins, here I come!

Success -- we returned home with pumpkins in hand.

Home again, where we said goodbye to Uncle Nono, and were relieved we'll see him again in less than two months.

Uncle hugs, part II

Uncle Nono is visiting! We got a chance to read some books together.

When he told me it was his first time reading Peek-A-Who, I was incredulous.

I mean, come on, we've ALL read Peek-A-Who, am I right guys?

Of course, when I heckled him about his sub-par familiarity with children's literature, he did THIS!

What a goon.

Ho hum

Not much happens in this video, so I'm not sure why Mom wanted to post it.

I suppose it gives a sense of the uneventful fun I have roaming around the house each morning, and reflects how there's beauty and wonder even in the mundane, if you look hard enough. Also, it shows I can lift heavy stuff!

If you were going to put this video to music, what song would you use?

Mega zonk

#FridayFatigue -- it overtakes us all, am I right?

I didn't even wake up when Mom shut her car door. That's zonk, my friends.

Linc in denial

What. I didn't just destroy this artfully assembled wood toy display. What?

We must find the culprit! I'm sure he's around here somewhere! He must not be allowed to get away with...

Ed. note: Lincoln was presented with the following photograph.

Oh. I see.

Oh, whatever. With a face like this, they'd never convict!

Hard at work

Mom, can you please connect this keyboard? I want to help Dad code.

I'm even going to be super efficient and use all my appendages!

Vroom vroom...sort of

I'm all ready to go zooming around in my cool new birthday ride from Uncle Jake and Aunt Elena!

Err...something seems to be amiss with the steering system...

Dad, don't just laugh! Make it work!

Cousin fun

Got to see my cousin Zoe for a bit this weekend. She's nearly walking, which is pretty exciting.

Since I'm a good cousin, I narrowly avoided dropping a car on her head.

I also showed her who's boss.

(Hmm...this picture is unclear. I'm pointing at her, but the boss is me. I am the boss. To be clear.)

Morning munching

Mom shared her scrambled eggs and bagel with me this morning, which I gleefully gobbled up.

My own book

Car rides are boring, but less boring with my own fun book Emma gave me!

Happy Birthday, Gege!

I like to point at the cucumber and radish watercolors that you painted.

They look great in our kitchen!

Car go!

I figured out what this wheeled thing does! I also like to push it around making vroom vroom noises, just like Mom showed me.

Twinsies, part II

To be clear, Mom dresses ME first -- then she takes her sartorial inspiration from me!

I'm even wearing gray pants.

Brace(let) yourself

Here I am, blurrily modeling the latest in infant accessories. Can you guess what it is?

My water bottle!

Sometimes I also use it as a teething toy.

In the can

Aunt Sara, I think I have some toys that are bound to go the way of your old Snoopy doll. Guess where my favorite place is to put things lately?

Though all appeared lost, I would not let my quest remain unfulfilled.

Side note: This video is a couple of weeks old, and I look like such a baby! Now there's very little of that crawling nonsense. This kid is bipedal.

More Hawaii, guys?

The shirt fits now, so we should probably go again. I promise not to get crazy sick this time!

Bon appetit

Oh, great, another delicious meal lovingly prepared by gourmet chefs.

If only I had enough teeth for a Doritos Locos Taco...

Dos hombres robustos a Rubios

Mom wanted to title this post "Two super-cute dudes grabbing dinner."

But I told her: Mom. NO. Whose blog do you think this is?

P.S. Grandma Sue, I thought of you while eating my quesadilla!

A visit from Grandma

Grandma V came to daycare today! She entertained me with some stories, and the other kids, too -- the teachers even asked if she had a background working with kids, because she's a natural.

I was very happy to see her.

A walk down memory lane

Happy birthday to me!

I've been making Mom and Dad's lives more fun, interesting, and exhausting for a whole year.

They can still remember the day that I was born.

And the day they took me home.

When I was very very tiny.

And I slept all...

...the...

...time.

And I smiled my biggest smiles in my sleep (before the real ones arrived).

When I made funny surprised burp faces.

And curious alert postprandial faces.

And they'd watch me wake up in the morning because they couldn't wait to find out who I'd be.

Mom and Dad are way sentimental, right?

Happy birthday Dad!

For Dad's birthday, we watched the 49ers game and went for a quick dip in his friend Dan's pool.

Mom helped me practice walking with my favorite portable item so I could show off for Dad later.

I get a bucket to walk around with because I can't have what I really want to carry around.

Dad makes it look so appealing!

Silly mama

Mom is so goofy.

Sometimes she's just so goofy I have to give her a smooch.

Thursday, September 5, 2013

Zonk

Socializing with other babies is hard work, guys. Sometimes a fella just needs a rest, you know?

The adventure begins

My first day -- afternoon, really -- at daycare began with some strong pointing.

Then I settled into some clapping.

I seemed pretty content, so Mom headed to work.

I swear I didn't get up to any mischief after she left...
