New park

Mom and Dad took me to a new park today, over by Coyote Point. It was like three parks in one!

Playground.

Airplane viewing ground.

Scenic strolling area.

Yeah, I think we'll be coming back.

Pool and party

On a very hot day, we were lucky enough to get an invite to visit some friends with a poooool.

And a cute daughter, who seems impressed with a certain gentleman's manual dexterity.

Drive by

Out for a joyride, Dad became collateral damage.

"Why are you doing this to me?" he asks.

Because I can.

Aggressive waterfowl

Out for a walk with Mom, I was approached by some feathery local toughs. Fowl indeed.

Double trouble

At the library, Mom snagged some of Yaya's recommendations, and I eyed a boy who was checking out a train book I coveted.

My nerves were soothed by a trip to a new-ish park, where I scrambled around too quickly for Mom to get any satisfactory pictures.

By the time lunch came around, I was wiped. I nearly fell asleep at the table.

Insomniac

Word to the wise: When you are awake at all hours of the night and only crash in the early morning on Dad, he will take unflattering selfies of you. Just so you know.

Homeward bound

Energized by plane-spotting at the airport.

But zonked on the plane after a feverish night of poor sleep.

Ready to get home.

Park and pier

My final day in LA was full of delights, including a park with a wacky slide...

...and a fountain that was perfect for splashing in.

After getting our fill of wet wind sprints at the park, we headed for the pier, where I sampled a couple of sweet rides with some unusual passengers.

And a new carousel! Can you tell I liked my ride on the bunny?

Later on, I collected flowers with Aunt Randi from her spectacular garden.

We ended the day dining with Dad's old friend Logan and his family. I loved their play-do-spewing garbage truck (and the Elliott clan was pretty cool too).

It was a great way to close out our memorable trip to sunny Los Angeles.

Even if Dad never managed to capture the perfect #carouselfie.

Wet and wild

Today we trekked to Travel Town, where I shockingly grumped my way around, disinterested in any trains. When we headed for a nearby park area, I was able to muster up a bit more enthusiasm for this firefighting crane truck.

Plus, the carousel ride was rather boss.

In the heat of the afternoon, we took an opportunity to cool down in Gege's pool.

Initially a pleasant dip, it became EXTRA fun with the addition of pool toys!

L.A. Story

On the trip down to L.A., I was the very model of a Southwest advertisement.

When we arrived, I settled right in at Randi & Ilan's playing with some vintage toys.

Later on, I helped Gege pick some fresh tomatoes from her garden.

I also met one odd gentleman in her backyard. (Gege, Mom and I think you should ask this guy to loiter around someone else's patio. He seems sketchy.)

I ended the day in another backyard, playing trains with my totally excellent Aunt Sara!

A creature of habit

Dad, do I need to remind you what day it is? I brought you this book in case you've forgotten. Now get out of the shower and put my shoes on, we're doughnut-bound.

I guess you can swap the towel for some clothes as well, if you must.

Strong man

I may be developing more of a classic toddler personality, but it's nice to know some things don't change, like my love of lifting and carrying the heaviest objects I can find.

Party of one

Enjoying a refined outdoor teatime.

I'm quite calm and focused while taking tea.

Perhaps next time, someone will join me?

The picture of LV

Is it just me, or do I look strangely old in this photo?

Do I need to have someone paint a mysteriously aging portrait of me to put in the attic?

Looking good

Haircuts make me glum, even if I do look quite sharp afterwards.

Mom and Dad decided that I looked so extremely sharp, I needed to go out on the town -- or a ride on Caltrain!

The ride was short, but stylish.

Turtle power

Saturday morning at the pond, accompanied by Mr. Bear.

And visited by lots of aquatic life!
